Movie Plot: Joan Wilder is a successful – but lonely – romance novelist in New York City. After finishing his latest novel, Joan leaves his apartment to meet his editor Gloria, and is assigned a letter containing a map sent by his recently killed brother-in-law, Eduardo. When he leaves, a man tries to sneak into his apartment and is discovered by his apartment supervisor, whom he kills. Returning to her apartment, Joan learned that she was vandalizing her. He then gets a frantic phone call from his sister Ellen-Eduardo’s widow. Elaine has been kidnapped by antique smugglers, cousins IRA and Ralph, and instructs the zone to move to the coastal city of Cartagena with a map obtained by her; This is Ellen’s ransom. Flying to Colombia, Joan has been removed from the reunion site by Colonel Zolo – the same man who vandalized his apartment in search of a map – by riding him in the wrong bus. Instead of going to the coast, it is just deep in the interiors of the country. Ralph realizes this, and he chases Joan. The zone accidentally distracted the bus driver by saying where he was going, crushing both vehicles and crashing into the Land Rover. As the rest of the passengers walk, operated by Joan Zolo but rescued by the owner of Land Rover: an American exotic bird smuggler whose name is Jack T. Colton. To get him out of the woods and a telephone, Joan promised to pay $375 jack in traveler’s cheques.
